Introducing CoffeeShop PowderRoom 2!!!

I just posted the newest version of PowderRoom, PowderRoom 3.  I streamlined it by removing the "duplicate image" part of the action and having the action select the white brush so you can start painting on layer masks.  But otherwise it is still the classic PowderRoom.

I  also have a different version of this action that you might want to try, Baby PowderRoom (it is not just for babies!).  It does not replace PowderRoom 2 but is a great action for times when you are working on a portrait that has red skin issues.  If you want a one-stop portrait action that automatically softens skin and enhances your entire portrait, please check out CoffeeShop Perfect Portrait 3.

Click on the image below to download the free action or click HERE!

It is finally completed and I am releasing it on my son Duke's 4th Birthday (pictured below). The original CoffeeShop PowderRoom has been one of my most popular actions ever, and I listened to your excellent suggestions and made PowderRoom 2 bigger and better. This is the only action you will need to retouch your portraits. It softens skin, brightens and defines the eyes, removes redness from tired/allergy eyes, and whitens teeth. It works in Photoshop and Photoshop Elements and comes with step-by-step .pdf instructions and icons for PSE.

I hope you guys enjoy it! And did I mention it is completely free??? :-) And thanks again for hanging out at the CoffeeShop, where the coffee is always hot and the actions are fresh!!!

NOTE! I have a little .pdf tutorial included in the download. If you are having trouble with this action and are seeing any difference when you paint over the layers with the black layer masks (such as soft skin) there are two things you might be doing incorrectly. 1. Make sure to click on to select the black layer mask BEFORE using the white brush to paint on your image. If you have the layer selected but not the actual black layer mask (just click on the black part) you will see no changes when you paint. 2) Make sure your brush blend mode (on top) is set to NORMAL and not any other setting. If it is not on normal it will not work correctly and you will see no changes!

Do you want to download thousands of professional CoffeeShop PSE/Photoshop actions (including exclusive ones not found anywhere for free), textures/overlays, scrapbooking papers, clip art/design elements, photo storyboards and frames, and Lightroom presets from this site in one convenient zipped file AND help support this one-woman blog?

  49. I am so excited about the work you are doing, and your generous spirit in sharing. I'm using a mac, and have PSE 6. Is it possible for me to download CoffeeShop PowderRoom? I'm new at using a comments page. I don't really even know where to look for the answer. My email is shelleydiment@msn.com in case that's useful :-) Thank you for everything.

  51. Hi, I posted a moment ago, asking if CoffeeShop PowderRoom can be put on a Mac with PSE 6. I've tried again, and have this question. The instructions for adding an action to PSE on a Mac say to go to "Photo Creations>Photo Effects" inside the PSE 6 folder. But I don't have these folders. Inside my PSE 6 folder are the following options:

    Adobe Photoshop Elements
    Legal
    Photoshop Elements 6 Read Me.html
    Photoshop Elements 6 User Guide.pdf
    Plug-Ins
    Presets
    Settings
    Recently Used Optimizations.irs
    Tutorials

If anyone has any insights into where I place the .atn and .png files, I would really appreciate it. Thanks for all you do. I'm so happy to discover you out there! I have two daughters--20 and 17, and I'm hoping to do a really beautiful collage for my 17 year old, Hannah, and I think it would be wonderful to be able to use Bright Eyes and PowderRoom. Take care, and thanks for everything.
